Sridhar Vaddeboina, PhD

Senior Vice President, Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls

Dr. Sridhar (Sri) Vaddeboina joined Wave in 2021 to lead Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC). In his role, he oversees CMC operations including Process Technology, Manufacturing, and Quality Control of the Manufacturing of Oligos drug substance at Wave’s manufacturing facility and drug product with CMO partners.

Sri is an accomplished leader with over 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, making significant contributions to organizational growth and building high-performance global teams (US, UK, and India) with values of integrity and scientific rigor. His experience in pharmaceutical CMC spans from early clinical development through commercial drug substance and drug product manufacturing. Prior to joining Wave, he served as Vice President (Analytical, QC and TIIM) at Avecia, where he was a member of the leadership team and oversaw a multi-layer team of 180 scientists focused on oligonucleotide development projects. Sri previously held roles of increasing responsibility at Albany Molecular Research Inc. (AMRI, now Curia), concluding with his role as Senior Director, Quality, Analytical and Microbiology.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Sri serves as a member of the TIDES Advisory Board and is also a member of ISPE and the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA).

Sri received his PhD in Chemistry from Osmania University in India, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Management from Harvard University.
